There are ways you can get involved to assist the campaign – taking a yard sign, volunteering to help out, or simply staying informed.
Most importantly, please plan on voting in the municipal election on October 18th, 2021!

I am extremely grateful for all of you who have encouraged me with kind words and assisted by generously donating to defray the cost of the campaign.

“Sean is a thoughtful, diligent and compassionate leader. During my time as MLA I had the pleasure of working with him and witnessing first hand how deeply he cares about the environment, social fabric, and the people who call Canmore home. He is a good listener, a consensus builder, and a forward thinker, and would make an excellent Mayor.”
Cam Westhead
Former MLA for Banff-Cochrane (2015 – 2019)

“I had the privilege of attending almost all of the Council meetings when Sean was on Town Council. One of Sean’s key strengths is that he filters out the “noise” while listening to peoples’ concerns, which allows him to focus on the key factors that impact the decision that Council is being asked to make. As a result, I have always been impressed that Sean is able to look at all sides of an issue and find a way to reach a reasonable solution to address the concerns that had been raised. I see Sean as a thoughtful and knowledgeable leader … most of Sean’s amendments and recommendations the he brought forward were approved by the other Councillors. I believe that he would be an excellent Mayor for the Town of Canmore.”
Ron Remple
Former CEO for BOWDA

“For more than 20 years I’ve known Sean to be a passionate advocate for Canmore, particularly for the more vulnerable members of our community. His volunteer work in the community speaks volumes about his dedication, work ethic, and commitment to the community. He is one of the most caring, compassionate, and thoughtful people I know.  And he truly listens to all sides of any issue (which in Canmore is a rather sizable number) before drawing conclusions. Some people throw around the term “community” rather loosely, but not Sean – he has lived it out loud for more than 20 years as one of his core values.  If anyone can build consensus on challenging issues and guide Canmore into the future, it’s Sean.”

“I have been active on climate change issues for many years and also spent 2 years on Canmore’s Budget Committee when Sean was on Town Council. He impressed me with his hard work, attention to detail, and his determination to make sound decisions in the public interest. Further, quite aware that the Town must be more active in mitigating climate change, Sean has the knowledge of municipal government and Town finances to find solutions that are both environmentally and financially sustainable.”
Rick Daniel
Canmore Resident

“We’ve known Sean for close to 25 years. He’s a person of integrity, hard work, commitment to community and compassion. The way he uses his sharp mind and generous heart to benefit others is inspiring. We’ve got a great town here in Canmore, but some real challenges, too. Sean is the kind of Mayor we need going forward.”
